Shofar Shadchan is a free service to help match up talented Shofar blowers with those in need, whether they are ill, elderly or otherwise unable to go to shul/synagogue for the Rosh Hashana Shofar blowing service.
Whether you are requesting to hear the Shofar or are offering to blow Shofar for one in need, all you have to do is fill out the form above and a member of our team will match you up, free of charge.
As soon as we confirm that there is an available Shofar blower in your area, we will put both parties in touch with each other.
A Shofar is a trumpet, typically made from a ram's horn. It is blown on Rosh Hashana before and during the Mussaf service. The Shofar blowing service consists of 3 sounds, the Tekiah, Shevarim, and Teruah. The powerful sound of the Shofar is not only meant to awaken us to do Teshuvah, but also serves as an acknowledgement to Hashem's kingship.
Thanks for asking! You can help by spreading the word to people in need, and Shofar blowers you may know. Post about us on social media, or hang a sign in your shul!
